Once again the annual hedge cutting and bed weeding took place in June. Marginally later than past years but the weather was good and so was the turn out.
Norman and Colin started early so there would be some clearing up to do as soon as others arrived, although we mustn't forget Peter Borsberry who had already made a great start on Tuesday afternoon and then joined us later that morning.
Kevin joined the party soon afterwards and cleared the front hedge so at long last we can see the new sign which was put up a couple of weeks ago. Thanks go to Nigel for coming up with the more modern and colourful sign and to David Palmer and Peter Bonar and others for their work cleaning, painting and re-fitting. Looks a bit different eh?

Nigel has also taken his original mock-up, waterproofed it and framed it and it will go up by the side gate to replace the sign there.
Meanwhile, back at the hedge cutting, weeding and tidying up, thanks to Maurice Hill, Steve Isaac, James & Carole Turner, Nigel, John Wilkinson, Jeanie, Barrie, Sally, Lynn, Peter Watkins, Joan, Brian, Andy. I was most impressed by Brian and Andy coming along because shortly after mid-day, they played a competition with Norman marking.

Whilst on the subject of tidying the green, our usual mower Peter Graffin has been away having an eye operation so we must thank the stand in mowers of:
- Colin
- Peter Borsberry
- Nigel
- Dave Wilson
They have done a brilliant job of standing in for Peter Graffin.
A special thanks to Chairperson Sally for providing the cold hot cross buns with teas and coffees - much appreciated by all. Here are a few more photos:
