Points Winners

The weekly competition played on Tuesday mornings, concluded on 21st September with Captain Andy Scott winning the Men’s league and Joan Edwards winning the Ladies’ league.

Whereas Joan had built up an unassailable lead by this last game of the season, the Men’s competition went down to the wire. Andy and Brian Duddy were level on points at the start of the game and, as luck would have it, were drawn against each other to play in a 12 end triples game.

The two teams were evenly matched and were still level after 11 ends. So after 21 weeks of competition, the result came down to the last end of the last game of the competition. Andy‘s team prevailed and won the last end by 2 shots.
